Independently owned since 2011.
Matt Crowley and Dana Pollard started Electron Apps in Raleigh for a handful of Carolina shops. There are 28 of us now. We are independently owned and profitable, still working from one Raleigh suite.

Moved customers to a hosted service.

2011
Matt and Dana ship an on-prem Windows app for shops that had outgrown a whiteboard. The first users are close enough to drive to.
2013
The price book shows up, because estimates on paper were drifting from invoices.
2016
Hosted cutover. Customer data moves to Azure. New sales are hosted only.
2018
The technician app ships as a Xamarin client, so iOS and Android stay one codebase.
2021
We pass 400 active shops while staying independently owned.
2024
Still 28 people. About 480 shops. The work is the same: dispatch, schedule, invoice.
How it runs
The hosted product is .NET and SQL Server on Azure, in the United States. The mobile client is Xamarin. Raj's group is small. Dana still reads the changes that touch the data.
