Note
Capacity planning before the first heat wave
Truck count is a poor measure of capacity. A truck in the lot does not equal eight hours if two techs are on vacation and one is still training.
Before the first heat wave, count labor hours by week. Book maintenance in the spring until those hours look like a normal summer, not a hero summer. Leave an emergency gap in the afternoon.
The schedule report is just hours sold against hours you actually have. If you look at it in February, August is less of a surprise.
If this is the problem in your office, book a walkthrough or email lisaf@electronapps.com.
