Routing a plumbing day without the 4 p.m. scramble
Plumbing days fall apart at 4 p.m. because the morning was packed solid and the emergency drain still showed up. The fix is not a fancier map. It is an empty slot you refuse to fill before noon.
We tell dispatchers to cluster by quadrant, then leave a gap in the middle of the day for the call that is actually an emergency. Maintenance and quoted repairs can move a half hour. A sewage backup cannot.
The schedule in Electron lets you drop that buffer on purpose and see, by 10 a.m., if you already gave it away.
